Best Twentieth Century
Period Pieces
A film doesn't have to be set a hundred or a thousand years ago to be a "period
film". These films have all the features of quality period pieces: careful
attention to costume detail, language, and themes of the time period of their
setting -- but they are set as few as fifteen years before they were made,
and all are set in the Twentieth Century.
